Truck Runs Over Teacher Mpasaaso
A man in his early 60s died after being run over by a wood-laden vehicle at Mpasaaso No2 in the Ahafo Ano South West of the Ashanti Region.
Teacher Wiase, the victim, was a member of the task force in charge of overseeing the transit of forests into and out of the area.
The deceased, along with his colleagues, went to the jungle yesterday around 8:25 p.m. and set up a check point on the bush route where the trucks travel.
Unfortunately, the suspicious driver failed to stop when Teacher signaled him to do so in the middle of the road.
He sped away after running over him.
He died on the spot.
However, Hon. Charles K. Asare, a member of the area’s assembly, and other witnesses, including Appease, have confirmed the incident to the media.
