There’s No Need To Pay Permit Tax To Fix Our Own Roads – Actress Beverly Afaglo
Award-winning actress Beverly Afaglo has called on the government to change some sections of the constitution exempting citizens from fixing bad roads without paying permit tax According to the actress, people have money to construct roads in their community but cannot do so because of permit taxes.
The beauty therapist shared on her Instagram post, ” there’s been this issue bothering me for some time now. I’m told you need a permit to fix bad roads anywhere in Ghana and you have to pay for the permit.”
The actress also expressed her worry that” my own money to fix the road to make movement easier and save all of us from visiting mechanics every day, I have to pay for a permit before I can fix our deplorable roads?”
She added that if the country wants to develop, then the government needs to abolish certain laws in the constitution. ” Government isn’t fixing the roads with our taxes, we are not complaining, allow good citizens to help make our lives easier too, you say no.
This is evil. It’s a shame.
That law must be amended or canceled completely”.
