The Law Should Take Its Course No Matter How Complex -GJA On Assaulted Journalist
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has demanded that those involved for the assault on Connect FM’s Eric Nana Gyetuah be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Last Thursday, five police officers allegedly assaulted the Takoradi-based journalist at a popular eatery in the Western Region.
According to accounts, the journalist snapped photos of some of the jailed people who had been escorted to the restaurant by the cops and refused to erase them when they approached him.
As a result, enraged cops are said to have beaten him to a pulp.
The journalist was handcuffed and taken to a police station with swollen eyelids and blood seeping from his swollen mouth.
