Speeding Vehicle Runs Over Two Siblings At Ejisu
On Sunday morning, two siblings were killed by a speeding vehicle after the driver lost control near Ejisu-Besease.
Around 8:40 a.m., the accident is believed to have occurred.
The driver was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it drove off the road, according to sources.
The victims, Hamidu Mohammed, 62, and Masawudu Nalko, 40, died at the Ejisu Government Hospital shortly after arriving.
Abdul Rahman Mohammed, 50, the third casualty with serious injuries, has been taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Witnesses said the Honda CR-V vehicle, which had the registration number AS 2221-22 and was being driven by Justice Adjoyi, 33, was traveling towards Konongo-Ejisu when the tragedy occurred.
Justice Adjoyi is thought to have observed an approaching car while attempting to overtake another vehicle, forcing him to deviate off the road and hit three male pedestrians along the road’s edge.
A halted Toyota Corolla with the registration number DV 3016 F-22 was also struck by the car.
Following the deaths of the two men, the entire Besease Zongo village is in grief.
