
SP Investigates Sir John’s Ownership Of Achimota Forest Lands
The Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP) has launched an inquiry into Achimota Forest lands allegedly owned by Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John, the late Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission.
According to the OSP, full-scale investigations into suspected corruption and corruption-related offenses would be launched.
This is about the alleged illegal and improper acquisition of state lands in Accra’s Achimota Forest and Sakumono Ramsar reserve.
Kissi Agyebeng, the Special Prosecutor, signed a statement containing these allegations.
According to the statement, the late politician would be examined alongside other people for alleged illegal property acquisition.
“The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources will play a key part in the investigations hence has been directed by the Special Prosecutor to fully cooperate with the OSP in the investigations,” portions of the statement urged.
