SHS Teacher Ties Boy To Bench, Beats, Pours Acid On Him
After a teacher poured acid on him for allegedly stealing his bicycle, a 14-year-old boy loses limbs.
Due to the effects of battery acid poured on the limbs for allegedly stealing a bicycle, a 14-year-old child has lost his left forearm and right foot.
Ibrahim Salifu, also known as ‘Fire-fire,’ a teacher at Nalerigu Senior High School, is accused of committing the act.
Due to the severity of the damage caused by the acid, surgeons at the Nalerigu Baptist Medical Centre amputated the two limbs.
The child was supposed to be riding his bike about looking for scraps when he came across a stack of empty tomato cans and decided to carry them away.
The victim’s father, Gideon Wunduwa, told journalists that his son didn’t have a carrier on the back of his bicycle, so he parked it and borrowed another with a carrier parked in front of a house without permission.
“He took another bicycle from the home and went to sell the scraps and return.
“So he left the bicycle there and went to sell the tins, but when he returned, the man approached him and informed him that he had stolen a bicycle.”
According to Gideon Wunduwa, his son attempted to explain the reasons around the bicycle swap, but the man ignored him.
He claimed his son was tied to a wooden bench for several hours and assaulted with sticks before the acid was dumped on him.
“The man bound him and summoned help.”
While rolling and beating him, they laid a plank of wood on top of two water drums, bound his legs and hands, and hanged him.
“So he told them they needed to be patient since he was in tremendous pain,” he explained, “but they didn’t listen.”
Mr. Wunduwa went on to say that the event occurred in the afternoon, but the acid was spilled on him in the evening.
“It happened about noon, but he told them to bring the battery water at 7 p.m.
They carried it over and put it over the boy’s hands and legs.”
After torturing the youngster to oblivion, they threw him into a thicket.
