Sekondi Takoradi Granted Bail

The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Sekondi Takoradi, STMA, Abdul Mumin Issah has been granted bail in the sum of 100,000 ghana media to court on February 17.

His bail follows his appearance before the court charged with verbal assault of a public officer, disturbing g public peace and offensive conduct.

Then I’m an e MCE has been suspended with immediate effect as a result of this case.

According to the facts put before the court presided over by Mr Cudjoe Ampedu, the MCE failed to stop at a police checkpoint on February 2 and started an altercation with the officer upon confrontation.

The MCE then began to rain insults on the police, “I will transfer you to Enchi”, You Ugli officer, “Do you know me”, ” I will beat you”.

The prosecution says the MCE was driving a Nissan Pajero no GE5651-20 in the evening around 8:20 pm.

The Local Government Minister in a letter said the role of MCE will be added to the role of the regional minister. This the ministry said has become necessary to ensure that public institutions are respected.
