Sacked & Charged PPA Boss Granted GHc5m Bail
The Special Prosecutor has issued 17 changes to Mr. Agyenin Boateng Adjei, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).
When he was hauled before the Criminal Division of the Accra High Court on Wednesday, he pleaded not guilty to all allegations.
Mr. Adjei Boateng disputed seven counts of profiting from public office and ten counts of influencing the public procurement process directly or indirectly through his office.
Francis Kwaku Arhin, the second defendant, pled not guilty to one count of profiting from public office.
Both have been granted bail in the amount of GHc5 million cedis, with two sureties, to be justified in court by Justice Mary Maame Ekue Nsenkyire.
According to sources, Kissi Agyabeng, the Republic’s Special Prosecutor, was not opposed to the grant of bail.
