Rocky Dawuni To Perform At This Year’s LEAF Festival
The 50th LEAF Festival returns on a full scale this fall and will celebrate the music and cultures of Africa with Angelique Kidjo and Rocky Dawuni among other artists representing the African continent.
The LEAF Festival returns this year after a two-year break and it is scheduled for October 20, 2022, in Black Mountain North Carolina.
The Festival was originally slated for May 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.
The theme for this year’s 50th LEAF festival is “Legends of Africa”
LEAF Global art founder, Jennifer Prickering, explained that “For the 50th Festival, we invited artists who had come to LEAF before and made a significant impact through their message, music, or work with their community youth”. “As we curate each LEAF, we seek to create a journey to places, culture, and experiences through the music and arts.
LEAF creates a platform and connection for powerful voices often underseen.
LEAF will not host only performing artists but also visual artists and will outdoor activities and present camping options.
