Residents Lynch 3 Suspected Robbers To Death
Three suspected thieves were lynched by Akrofuom residents in the Ashanti Region.
Following a robbery in the vicinity, they killed all three suspects.
According to a report from the community, members of Akrofuom received alarming information about alleged robbery operations in the village from one of their sister towns, Yaa Dome.
Seven armed robbers, including the deceased, attacked Yaa Dome and looted some gold traders in the village, according to reports.
The residents of Yaa Dome, a close town to Akrofuom, relayed the information to the Akrofuom population, and a roadblock was soon put up.
At the Akrofuom barrier, a sprinter bus without registration with seven (7) passengers on board (all men) was seized.
Four of the seven persons on board the bus (4/7) managed to flee as soon as the vehicle was stopped by the passengers.
This galvanized and inspired the villagers to affirm that all the passengers on the Sprinter bus were armed robbers, after recovering dangerous weapons from them such as a pistol, an AK47, a machete, and so on.
As a result, they savagely beat the last three, murdering them instantaneously.
Issah Adams, 39, Saddick Mohammed, 35, and Kwabena Dagaati, 41, were among the victims.
The police have since transported and placed their bodies at the morgue.
