Police Search For Anwiankwanta Highway Robbery Suspects
The Ashanti Regional Police Command is on the lookout for a three-person armed robbery group that allegedly assaulted and robbed passengers on February 21, 2022.
According to police sources, the passengers were riding in a KIA Grandbird bus with the registration number GT 5795-15.
At around 3:45 a.m., they were ambushed at the Oda River bridge near Anwiankwanta on the Kumasi-Obuasi route.
Superintendent Godwin Ahianyo, the Regional Head of Public Affairs, signed a statement to that effect.
