Police And Assembly Task Force Arrest Stubborn ‘Aboboyaa’ Riders
A combined team of the Police, the Ledzokuku and the Adentan assembly task force have arrested several ‘Aboboyaa’ riders who have refused to comply with a new regulation not to ride on highways as a measure to prevent accidents and manage sanitation in the capital.
The offenders according to the police are being processed for court.
The task force has been very active on the major roads following the directive issued by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey after concerns from the police about these riders.
The Police MTTD department has raised co concerns about the tricycles which have been converted to commercial transport operators transporting passengers and refuse have been one of the causes of accidents in the capital.
