Plumber freed after five years wrongful imprisonment
A plumber who was sentenced to 24 years in prison for allegedly robbing Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Commissioner of Police (COP), at her home in 2016 has been cleared and released by the criminal division of the Accra High Court.
Emmanuel Darko, on October 17, 2017 was found guilty by the Accra Circuit Court One(1) and received 24 years in hard labour.
He has served five out of the 24 years since he was convicted in 2017.
