Parliament has rejected government’s 2022 budget causing stir, confusion and even anger in some quarters anger.

This is the first time in the fourth Republic that a budget has been rejected.

Even though the Majority were not present to participate in the exercise, the Speaker said their absence could not prevent the House from proceeding with the business of the day.

Both the founder of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere Darko and the opposition’s Director of Communication, Sammy Gyamfi have clashed on the issue.

While Mr Gyamfi was praising the minority for rejecting the ballot, Mr Otchere Darko condemned Parliament questioning how government can run as well as pay them if Parliament refuses to do the needful.

Since the presentation of the budget by Ken Ofori-Atta, the minority vowed to oppose it, saying that its approval will impose hardship on Ghanaians
