Oliver Barker-Vormawor’s Bail Application Ruling Set For March 16
The bail application submitted by #fixthecountry convener Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor will be heard by the High Court in Tema on Wednesday, March 16.
On February 11, 2022, he was detained on charges of instigating the coup of government organs.
Mr. Barker-Vormawor opposed the claims in his bail application, claiming that the evidence against him cannot support a charge of criminal treason.
Despite the fact that, in an affidavit opposing the bail, the Attorney-General claims that evidence uncovered thus far supports a charge of treason crime against the activist.
Mr. Barker-Vormawor, on the other hand, has questioned why the Republic has not charged him or sought his statement on the charge.
Meanwhile, Oliver Mawuse-Barker Vormawor has told the Court, which is presided over by Justice Daniel Mensah, that he is in good health and wishes to be tried.
The judge wanted to know how he was doing physically.
