Numerous Passengers Stranded As Taxi Drivers Go On Strike

Western Region taxi drivers have called for a three-day sit-down strike due to the area’s poor road infrastructure.

The cab drivers in the following places in the Western Region: Bogoso and Wasa Akropong Municipality; Asankragwa in Amenfi West Municipality; Manso Amenfi in Amenfi Central District.

The irate drivers complained to the media that they were working in vain because they were spending all of their daily income on repairs.

They claimed that the Western Region’s whole road network included the aforementioned Municipalities and Districts.

As a result, they have launched a three-day sit-in strike.

Driver Acquah told the media that, “We are not working; we are on a sit-down strike for three days until we see improvement on the roads.
