National Cathedral CEO Swallows Bitter Pill

Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, the Executive Director of the National Cathedral project, has issued an unequivocal apology to the Coalition of Muslim Organizations (COMOG).

This follows his claim that the state-aided in the construction of the National Mosque in Kawkudi, on the Kanda Highway.

Since then, COMOG has denied the remark and increased pressure on Dr. Opoku-Mensah to recant and apologize.

In a statement, the Executive Director expressed apologies for any hurt caused by his remark to the Muslim community.

“I retract and apologise for the use of ‘state facilitation’ in my response and deeply regrets the pain it might have caused the COMOG and the Muslim Umma in Ghana,” he said.
