The Ghana Meteorological Agency’s employees have announced that they will go on an indefinite strike on Friday, February 18, 2022, to urge their demand for better working conditions.

According to the dissatisfied employees, their action comes after failed attempts to persuade the Minister of Communications and Digitalization to address their concerns in a letter dated January 5, 2022.

According to a statement from the Staff Leadership, they have decided to go on an indefinite strike beginning on Friday to press their demands.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency is in charge of reporting on meteorological conditions daily.
It also keeps a meteorological watch on the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority’s Flight Information Region (FIR).

Their planned strike might have an impact on a variety of industries, including aviation, industry, civil engineering, agriculture, forestry, and tourism.
