Maxam Mines Interdicted, Mining License Suspended Over Apiate Deadly Blast

The sector minister for Lands a Natural Resources, Abu Jinapor has ordered the CEO of the Minerals Commission to interdict the Chief Inspector of Mining of Maxam and suspends its license pending a thorough investigation into the Apiate blast that killed scores of people.

The minister in a press release said the company should be held liable for the accident.

He also assured the public that everything possible will be done to ensure that the interest of the public is held.
