
Mate Remanded Over Defilement
The Asante Juaben Circuit Court has remanded a 22-year-old mate in police detention for defiling a 15-year-old girl at Kenyase-Bosore in the Kwabre East Municipality.
Abdul Ganiru Adamu is accused of defiling the girl in her parents’ bedroom and then stealing enormous sums of money and other precious stuff.
He entered a not guilty plea and was scheduled to appear in court on May 13 before Nana Asantewaa Attakorah.
The complaint, according to Police Chief Inspector Effah, was the father of the victim, a JHS one student.
He said that the victim lives with her parents in Bosore and that the accused worked for the complainant previously.
The accused went to the complainant’s house on December 13, 2021, at about 1100 hours, and met the victim and her three-year-old sister in the house, according to the prosecution.
According to Mr. Effah, the accused brought the girl into her parents’ room and engaged in sexual intercourse with her, leaving her severely harmed.
According to the prosecution, the accused bound and gagged the victim after the act.
He allegedly searched the room, stealing GHc 12, 000.00 from the complainant, and fled.
According to the prosecution, the woman was able to free herself and alert some young guys working in a nearby house.
One of the workers, according to Chief Inspector Effah, used his phone to call the complainant and notify him of what had occurred to his daughter.
According to the prosecution, the complainant then told one of his subordinates, Antwi, to tell the Kenyan police.
According to the prosecution, when Antwi was driving to the police station, the accused called him and told him that he had taken large quantities of money from the complainant and that he (Antwi) should come for fun.
According to Chief Inspector Effah, the accused was discovered at Meduma on April 26 and apprehended by Kenyan police.
In his cautious statement, the accused admitted to the crime and was charged and hauled before the court, he said.
