Man Poisons Himself After Killing Girlfriend
The Western Northern Region’s Sefwi Bosomoiso community was placed in a state of mourning on Sunday after it was reported that Ernest Kofi Yeboah, 32, had killed his 22-year-old girlfriend there.
He also poisoned himself before committing suicide.
According to a local, Ernest Kofi Yeboah and Akua Mavis were well-known in the community as lovers. Both were deceased.
Afua Mavis allegedly begged Yeboah to lend her some money in June of this year so that she could launch a small company.
Yeboah reportedly handed his girlfriend GHC115,000 to launch a mobile money company, according to information acquired.
The source claimed that Mavis later had a change in her romantic feelings and requested a divorce.
According to reports, Ernest Kofi Yeboah requested Mavis’ company on Sunday so he could meet a friend in a neighbouring town. Mavis reportedly agreed.
According to reports, Yeboah allegedly lured Mavis into an abandoned building at 7:30 p.m. when they were on their way home because he was in pain. Mavis was subsequently killed.
According to our source, Yeboah called his friend on the phone after killing his partner to confess to the crime and announce his intention to commit suicide.
He opted to end his life because he felt threatened.
When Yeboah’s friend called to mobilize some teenagers, the source claims that they came at the spot to find the bodies of the two lovers already dead.
The bodies had already been buried when this report was submitted, and the incident had been reported to the police in Bibiani.
