According to VimNewsGhana, police in the Upper East are looking for the person who attacked a police officer in Zebilla on July 6, 2022.
“The officer was attacked near the Zebilla Senior High School where the assailant inflicted machete wounds on the head and other parts of the body and also made off with an AK47 assault rifle,” reads a statement from the Upper East Regional Command signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) David Fianko-Okyere.
After being brought to the Zebilla District Hospital, the officer was later moved to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where he is still responding to care.
The public has been given the assurance by police that they will apprehend the offender, recover the stolen weapon, and bring him to justice.
