Man Jailed For Stealing ECG Transformer At Odumase Krobo
For stealing parts of an Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) transformer in Kodjonya, an outlying area of Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region, a 42-year-old man was given a 12-month prison sentence.
On July 31, the suspect, Isaac Azu, was noticed lurking near the transformer.
When a resident saw him, she called the police, which prompted the arrival of the neighbors.
Six fuses, earth cables, and a switch were all in the suspect’s hands.
He was then delivered to the Odumase police, who prepared him for court.
The defendant was given a year in prison for theft in the Odumase Krobo circuit court presided over by His Honor, Frank Gbeddy.
