Man, 33, Murders Father, 60, At Dadieso
Tawiah Terkpey, 33, of Suaboi, a Dadieso suburb in the Western North District, is being held by the Dadieso Police Command for the alleged murder of his 60-year-old father, Jonathan Terkpey.
After returning from Accra, Ghana, where he worked as a mechanic, the suspect has been living with his father for the past two years.
After waking up early in the morning, Tawiah is believed to have sliced his father’s throat and other portions of his body with a machete while washing his face.
According to several of the suspect’s neighbors, he returned from Accra to farm with his father.
They also believe Tawiah was mentally unstable but not hostile, and no one knows what possessed him to commit the crime.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Dadieso Hospital Mortuary for autopsy, and the suspect is presently cooperating with the police investigation.
