A Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) level 200 student was discovered dead.

Nana Gyamfi, 22, was discovered dead in a bush in the Ashanti area of Ghana.

The victim was found to have a bloated neck and blood seeping from the nose, according to the police report.

About 20 meters distant from the body, a stick suspected of being used to whack the deceased was discovered.

His friend Emmanuel Boateng paid him a visit at his home in Esaso-Kwablafo, near Esereso, and the two later went out, but the deceased did not come home until he was discovered dead in the jungle, according to preliminary police investigation.

The deceased was alleged to be holding an iPhone 11 Pro, according to police.

However, no one answered the phone when it arrived on the scene.

Following their investigation, police apprehended the culprit, Emmanuel Boateng, who confessed to the crime and brought them to the deceased’s iPhone 11pro.

“Suspect told Police that he owes the deceased some money. The deceased demanded same from him to enable him prepare for school. Suspect claimed he could not raise the money as such he lured the victim to the crime scene with the pretext that the mother had bought a building plot and so he should accompany him to the place and take pictures,” the police report said.

When they arrived, the suspect admitted that he informed the disease that he was responding to nature’s call and asked him to sit and wait for him.

While the deceased was sitting and making an unexpected phone conversation, the suspect picked up a stick, whacked him in the neck, and then stole the phone and departed the scene.

Meanwhile, the suspect, Emmanuel Boateng, is detained by police and is cooperating with the inquiry.
