I’m Not Afraid To Die, You Can’t Intimidate Me — Captain Smart
Captain Smart is not backing down after his release from.detention declaring that he cannot be intimidated.
He stated that he will not cease shining a light on society’s flaws in order to correct them.
“No one can stop me, not even my mother or death,” he stated while recalling his ordeal in police custody on TV3’s New Day broadcast on Friday, February 4.
On Thursday, February 3, the Onua TV/FM morning show anchor was released on bail after completing all bail requirements at the Accra Circuit Court 8 to gain his release from police detention.
Eric Daniels Dadzie Copperfield (DJ GH Boy) and other Onua Tv crew members were held at the National Security Office.
This came after a hearing at Accra’s Circuit Court on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
They were granted bail after pleading not guilty to two counts of extortion and aiding and abetting extortion, respectively.
Around 10:45 a.m., the court granted them bail, and the investigator in charge of the case took the four sureties to verify their addresses.
The two guys were initially escorted to the National Security office, where they stayed for three hours to brief the Court’s coordinator on what had happened.
After spending three hours at National Security, one officer (Eric Osei) went with the four sureties to check their addresses.
As a result of the delay, until the court closed, they were unable to complete all of the bail terms.
Because the police who had gone for verification had not returned by the time the court closed at 4 p.m., the officers brought the two suspects to National Security and then to the Ministries Police Station, where they were held for an hour.
The accused persons were apprehended by National Security personnel, who explained that they had received orders from above to return them to the National Security headquarters.
