Head Pastor, Pregnant Woman, 4 Others Perish In Wasa Ankonsia Accident
An accident involving a Sprinter Mercedes Benz bus and a Kia cargo truck on Wasa Ankonsia to Asikuma route in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region has reportedly killed six people and injured others.
One of the victims was the Head Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, who had just moved to the region.
Medical assistance has been provided to the injured at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The Sprinter Benz bus with the registration number GT 8721 – 18 was driving from Obuasi to Bogoso, according to one of the injured who told journalists about the incident.
The driver attempted to overtake a cab with the registration number GT 663 -20 on the Wasa Ankonsia to Asikuma section of road, he added.
According to him, the sprinter collided with a Kia cargo truck carrying Cocoa seeds, killing all six people on board.
