Employees earning a monthly salary of GHC365 or less, or an annual salary of GHS 4,380, would be excluded from paying income tax, according to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

This new development, according to the Authority in a tweet, is the result of the country’s Income Tax (Amended) (No. 2) Act 2021 being amended.
Act No. 1071).

“We are delighted to inform you that with the change (no.2) of the Income Tax Act 2021, Act 1071, every employee (worker) who receives GHS 365 or less as monthly pay or GHS 4380 as annual compensation is taxed at 0%,” said GRA in a tweet.
