Ghanaians In Ukraine Advised To Seek Shelter Following Russia Attack
Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has advised Ghanaians to seek refuge after Russian President Vladimir Putin began a massive pre-dawn strike on Ukraine on Thursday.
In a tweet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration expressed great concern for the security and safety of over 1000 Ghanaians studying in Ukraine.
It said it was discussing additional measures with Ukrainian authorities and other appropriate diplomatic offices.
“The Government of Ghana is gravely concerned about the security and safety of our over 1000 students and other Ghanaians in Ukraine and has asked them to shelter in place in their homes or government places of shelter, as we engage the authorities, our relevant diplomatic missions and our honorary consul on further measures,” the tweet said.
