
Ghana Records First Case Of Ebola
Ghana has recorded it first case of Ebola virus outbreak. The Northern Region is where the case was located. It has just recently been determined that the disease exists in the nation.
To try to control the situation, the Public Health Emergency Response Team has been sent out.
This information was released to the media in Tamale by Mr. Fuseini Mahama, Northern Regional Disease Control Officer.
According to the World Health Organization, case mortality rates for previous epidemics of the deadly Ebola virus ranged from 25% to 90% in humans and other primates (WHO).
However, patients can now access excellent treatments if they seek them out quickly and receive supportive care.
However, there are now effective treatments available, and the WHO has said that if patients receive therapy early and supportive care, their chances of survival greatly increase.
