Ga West MCE Vows To Sack Hawkers Along New Pokuase Interchange
The Ga West Municipal Assembly’s Chief Executive (MCE), Clement Wilkinson has vowed that he will remove and sack all hawkers from the newly constructed Pokuase Interchange.
His word comes after some traders engaged in other unauthorized activities on the pavements of the interchange.
He cautioned them to vacate all pavements or risk been moved forcefully.
One of the causes of traffic congestion is the operations of street hawkers around the Pokuase intersection.
The four-tier Pokuase Interchange was commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday, July 9, 2021.
Construction on the project began in April 2018 and was scheduled to be completed in October 2020.
