Former Kotoko Player Dies
Francis Aggrey aka Mboma, a former Asante Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal striker, has died after a brief illness.
The 36-year-old former player became ill and was admitted to a private hospital in Sunyani, but died on Thursday, April 28th, in the evening.
In the early 2000s, he joined Berekum Arsenal from defunct Power FC, where he helped the club qualify for the top flight.
Before joining Asante Kotoko under then-IMC, the hefty striker was the top scorer for Berekum Arsenal in the Ghana Premier League in 2001/2002.
At Asante Kotoko, he played alongside Nana Arhin-Duah, Shilla Alhassan, and Michael Osei.
