Fire Guts Kumasi Shoe Factory

The Kumasi Shoe Factory located at Atonsu-Agogo in the Ashanti region has been gutted by fire.

According to reports, a gas tanker unloading gasoline at the firm caught fire, culminating in the explosion.

While firemen battle the flames, the area has been blocked off by police.

According to witnesses, the tanker caught fire at 11 a.m. today while discharging gas into the company’s cylinder.

The explosion reportedly triggered a panic, resulting in injuries among plant workers who fled for safety.
