On Thursday, March 24, 2022, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is set to reveal government policies aimed at getting the economy back on track.

This follows a three-day Cabinet meeting in Peduase that was rushed.

Ghana has experienced the effects of the global economic slowdown.

Citizens have been protesting the continual rise in petroleum costs, as well as the cedi’s depreciation against major trading currencies, and the economy’s resulting impacts.

President Akufo-Addo has asked Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta to address the country on the government’s efforts to “salvage the worsening economy brought on by the Covid-19 outbreak and the Russia-Ukraine war,” according to the president.
