Father Kills 2 Children In Shama

A father identified as Benjamin Eshun, a resident of Shama Junction in the Western Region has been accused of killing his two children.

After an alleged argument with his wife Comfort Arthur, who threatened to leave him, the suspect allegedly poisoned the kids.

According to sources, the father chose to attempt suicide by ingesting some of the supposedly dangerous chemical after reportedly poisoning the two children, a boy, and a girl, who were then eight and five years old, respectively. However, the father did not pass away.

However, when the tragic news surfaced this morning, the locals were startled.

Despite the fact that they have two children together, Benjamin Eshun reportedly felt upset when Comfort Arthur informed him she was no longer interested in the relationship for reasons best known to her.

Later, Benjamin warned the wife that she would lose access to the kids if she decided she was no longer interested in the marriage.

Due to her perception that the husband may harm the children as a result of his words, the wife alerted several family members, and together they reported the incident to the Shama Police station.

After being sent there by the police, they arrived at Benjamin Eshun’s home on Monday night only to find the door shut.

They ripped it open and noticed the two kids with lips foaming. After being taken to the hospital, they passed away on Tuesday morning.

The father, who was thought to have consumed some of the poison, was also discovered immobile and prone. He was transferred to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment while being guarded by the police.

In a meeting with journalists, the wife, Comfort Arthur, shared the information.
