Ellembelle MP, 4 Others Dragged To Court For Various Traffic Offences
The Airport Divisional Police Command has detained Ellembelle Member of Parliament (MP) Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah and four other motorists for traffic violations.
They were stopped at the Aviation Social Centre for “driving carelessly and inconsiderately, including driving in the middle of the road facing oncoming traffic.”
Ahiadoglo Godnows, Arthur Asafo-Agyei Adu, Abednego Bandaogo, and Ntiedu George, the four suspects, have been duly processed and will appear in court today, March 4, 2022.
However, police said that once his driver’s license was removed and he was escorted to the police station to be processed for court, the former Energy Minister refused to comply with the authorities.
He drove away, leaving his driver’s license at home.
“The Airport Police Command later contacted him in the night on the telephone and asked him to report to the station today to be processed for court. This morning, the MP reported at the station and he has been duly processed for court,” the statement added.
The police have urged motorists to follow traffic laws in order to protect everyone’s safety and reduce the number of road accidents.
