Dela Coffie Presents Himself To Special Prosecutor After Hot Chase
Dela Coffie, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist, surrendered to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on Monday, June 6, after the Special Prosecutor issued an arrest order for him on Friday, June 3.
The OSP made the announcement in a statement on Monday.
Dela Coffie was accused of fabrication of an official document, as well as other corruption-related offenses.
“My attention has been directed to a warrant of arrest issued by Special Prosecutor against my person,” he wrote on Facebook on Friday in response to the news.
“Preliminarily, I want to state that I am available right here in Ghana and will submit myself to any queries of law enforcement agencies as I have nothing to hide. As regards context, my understanding is that the Special Prosecutor is linking me to a petitioner, who has lodged a petition before his office against former Minister Atta Akyea.
