Covid Causes Emirates To Cancel Flights to Ghana

Emirates Arline has cancelled all flights to Accra Ghana and Abidjan indefinitely although it initially said the ban was for just two days.

The suspension from Accra to Dubai effective December 27, 2021, is now extended until further notice,” the airline said in its urgent broadcast sent to trade partners on Tuesday, December 28, 2021

Passengers have been stranded and explaining after being stranded for hours.

The suspension of flights sources say, is linked to the rising number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded on outbound flights arriving in Dubai from Accra and Abidjan.

They however assured that they will airlift existing passengers with confirmed tickets from Dubai to Ghana.

Ghana is so far recording about 1000 civil cases on daily basis.
