Corruption Has Gone Up Under NPP-CDD Research
A recent survey conducted by the Centre for Democratic Development, Ghana, CDD has revealed that the perception of corruption has gone up under the current. More troubling is the revelation that many believe the government is not doing anything to deal with officials mentioned in corruption allegations.
A Research Analyst at the CDD, Mr Goldfres Asiamah says some of the people the research contacted can see members of the current NPP administration are either ‘let off the hook’ or the president making excuse of ‘no evidence’ against them while members of the opposition are facing charges in court.
Speaking to Afia Pokua on Okay Fm on herGyasogyaso program, Mr Asiamah says unless the government takes major steps to improve systems and institutions like what is currently being done at the passport office, one can comfortably say the government has failed to protect the public purse.
