Careless Driver Crushes Woman To Death Near Suhum
Doris Dzifa, a 38-year-old female pedestrian, was killed untimely by a speeding car on the Krobom-Obretema route in Suhum on Thursday afternoon.
The collision was so powerful that the deceased’s body was slashed in half.
According to the police report, suspect driver Michael Kotei, 36 years old, was driving a Honda Accord Private automobile with the license plate DV 2115C-2021 from Accra to Kumasi with three people on board.
He lost control of the steering wheel at Krobom-Obretema near Suhum on the Accra-Kumasi route, drove off the road, and knocked down Doris Dzifa, who was standing on the roadside waiting to board a commercial truck.
The truck eventually came to a halt in a nearby bush.
The victim’s corpse was hacked into two parts and he died on the scene.
The suspect driver and several passengers were injured and taken to Suhum Government Hospital for treatment.
The body was taken from the hospital and stored in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
The accident vehicle has been confiscated and will be tested at the Suhum Police Station.
