Captain Smart Detained For Extortion

Controversial television host, Godsbrain Smart popularly known as Captain Smart of Onua TV has been arrested and detained over extortion charge after failing to meet the bail conditions.

He has been accused of taking $10,000 and another ghc 50,000 from one Ahmed Kwabena Nkrumah, a businessman after threatening the man in 2021.

As part of the bail conditions, Mr Smart was to provide two sureties who are relatives but failed to meet that condition.

He was picked up by National Security and remains in detention.

His lawyers Martin Kpebu and other lawyers have already described the detention as unfair and abusive while a section of the public believe his detention may be related to his recent outburst and attack on government
