Calling A Man ‘Bald’ Is Considered Sexual Harassment- Tribunal Ruling

An employment tribunal has determined that calling a man “bald” is sexual harassment.

Tony Finn, 64, said he was the victim of sexual harassment when a colleague at his manufacturing firm called him a “bald c***.”

The Sheffield panel concurred and compared it to when a woman’s breasts are mentioned.

The decision came in a case involving a seasoned electrician and his employers and was determined by a panel of three men who pointed out their lack of hair.

Mr. Finn was fired from the British Bung Company in West Yorkshire in May of last year after 24 years of service and an “unblemished record.”

Mr. Finn told the tribunal in a statement that the term had been used in multiple situations and that he was afraid of violence.

“I did not threaten Tony,” his colleague responded, denying using the phrase.
