Boy, 14, Sentenced For Stabbing Friend Over Girl
A 14-year-old kid (name withheld) was sentenced to two years in a juvenile prison facility at Agona Swedru by the Assin Foso District Magistrate Court, presided over by His Worship, Abdul Majid Iliasu.
The suspect is a sixth-grade student at Assin Fosu D/A Basic School.
The 13-year-old victim (name withheld) claimed that the convict’s girlfriend became ill after visiting him for a birthday celebration.
He then encouraged his companion (a convict) to take the girl to the hospital as soon as possible before her condition worsened.
However, the convict, who was annoyed by the victim’s constant emphasis on the necessity for the girl to be sent to the hospital for quick medical attention, drew out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach and chest numerous times.
The victim bled excessively as a result of this.
He was brought to Assin Fosu’s St. Francis Xavier Hospital for treatment but was later transferred to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for further care.
At the time of reporting this story, the victim was still receiving care at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
