Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been eliminated from the CAF Champions League after losing 3-1 on penalties to RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors failed to protect the 1-0 win in the first leg in Cotonou in this encounter.

The Burkinabe side scored in the first half through a set piece in the 15th minute through Bassika Syla.

The Ghana Premier League champions struggled to get the equalizer as they were held by the Burkinabe side throughout the entire duration of the game.

The game ended 1-1 on aggregate with the penalty shootout needed to separate the two teams.

Asante Kotoko scored just one of their kicks with Kadiogo converting all three kicks to qualify for the next round.
