A/R Accident: Nursing Mother Crushed To Death, 8 Others Severely Injured
At Anloga Junction in the Oforikrom Municipal of the Ashanti Region, a breastfeeding woman in her 30s (name withheld) was crushed to death in an automobile collision involving a trailer with registration number GM 9671-13, a Kia Pregio (Trotro) with registration number AS 3989-20, and a Nissan with number GW 9771-16.
Eight (8) other individuals on board the two trotro cars were hurt, four of them were seriously injured, and the deceased’s 11-month-old kid was referred from the Tech hospital to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for additional treatment.
Some of the victims who were not seriously hurt told Angel Tv/fm News reporter Bismark Mensah that the trailer driver had earlier engaged one of the affected trotro drivers in a heated exchange of words from Boadi junction and threatened to kill or crush the trotro driver to death in the course of his duty.
They confirmed that the dead had arrived at her location and was dragged by the trailer after the trailer driver purposefully slammed his truck into the cars involved, killing her instantaneously.
The trailer driver and his companion are being held at the Oforikrom Police Station as part of the inquiry.
