The Adabraka Police in Accra has granted self-recognizance bail to five national executive executives of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) for allegedly uttering insulting words about their National Chairperson, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumankumah.

The national executive officers who presented themselves to the Adabraka Police Station on Monday to deliver their testimony will do it again on May 11, 2022.

Nana Yaa Akyempem Jantuah is the General Secretary; Yirimambo Moses Ambing is the National Organiser; Emmanuel Opare-Addo is the National Treasurer; Hajia Aisha Sulley Futa is the National Women Organiser, and Osei Kofi Acquah is the National Youth Organiser.

The Adabraka Police reported that the five national officers have been summoned to the station to give their statements in response to Nana Sarpong-insult Kumankumah’s allegation.

According to the police, no charges against the five national policemen have been filed yet, but they have been granted self-recognizance bail and must report on May 11, 2022.
